Stacy Lee Drake, 50, was captured without incident at approximately 10 a.m. in a wooded area south of an intersection in Morrilton, Arkansas, according to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety. He was wanted in connection with the killings of three individuals in Oklahoma and one in Alabama.
The Arkansas Department of Public Safety stated in a news release that Drake is facing charges including aggravated robbery, carjacking, and murder. Prior to his arrest, residents in Morrilton were urged to remain vigilant as Drake was seen outside a local motel. Authorities revealed that Drake had purchased camping gear, indicating that he was still in the area.
Law enforcement described Drake as armed and dangerous, noting his extensive criminal history. Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Capt. In Oklahoma, the State Bureau of Investigation was called in to aid in a homicide inquiry in Gans, where two individuals, Taylor Sharp and Tara Underwood, were found dead at a propane business. Surveillance footage implicated Drake, who was seen driving away in Underwood’s vehicle. In El Reno, west of Oklahoma City, Drake is suspected of killing 56-year-old Phillip Emerson, with his vehicle reportedly stolen.
In Alabama, Drake is believed to have murdered Alcoholics Anonymous counselor Russell Andrews, whose vehicle was found missing from the scene. Kennedy revealed that Drake had a transient lifestyle, with no fixed address and a history of criminal activities across multiple states. Authorities suspect Drake spent time in Oklahoma and Arizona, with federal charges pending for violating parole.
