Data from UC Berkeley’s Transportation Injury Mapping System revealed a concerning number of car crashes, including one fatality, along PCH between 2021 and 2023.
Following public input, Caltrans plans to conduct an environmental study in 2026, with construction potentially commencing in spring 2028 and completion of the bike lane by summer 2029.
