Nationwide arrest warrants have been issued for two individuals accused of attempted murder in connection with a shooting incident that left an 11-year-old boy injured in Allentown.

The shooting, which took place on June 13 at the intersection of North Nagle and Allen streets, not only caused harm to the young boy but also put six other individuals at risk, according to District Attorney Gavin Holihan.

At a press conference held on Thursday, Holihan identified the suspects as Renee Jacques Brown, Jr., aged 20, and Jahliel Joseph Branford, aged 18, both residents of Allentown.

Suspects Considered Armed and Dangerous

Authorities have warned the public that Brown and Branford are considered armed and dangerous, and anyone who comes into contact with them should immediately contact emergency services by dialing 911.

Due to concerns about potential threats to witnesses, limited information regarding the case has been disclosed, and arrest affidavits have been sealed.

Details of the Shooting Incident

Holihan revealed that the suspects were targeting another individual when a stray bullet struck the 11-year-old boy, identified as K.B., in the head.

As of the latest update, the child remains hospitalized, with ongoing efforts directed towards his recovery.

Upon investigation, law enforcement recovered spent shell casings from two distinct firearms: a .22-caliber semi-automatic handgun and a .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun. Authorities suspect that both weapons were in illegal possession.

Charges Faced by the Suspects

In addition to the charge of attempted murder, Brown and Branford have been accused of conspiracy to commit criminal homicide, two counts each of aggravated assault, possession of firearms without a valid license, as well as misdemeanor charges for possession of an instrument of crime and reckless endangerment.
