DETROIT, Michigan (WWJ) – Three additional victims of the tragic shooting incident at a splash pad in Rochester Hills, a suburb of Detroit, have been discharged from the hospital, according to officials.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Wednesday that a 4-year-old boy, a 42-year-old man, and a 31-year-old man, who sustained injuries during the shooting at the Brooklands Plaza Splash Pad, were released from medical care on Tuesday.
Following this development, a 78-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman, and a 37-year-old woman had previously been discharged from the hospital.
Currently, three victims remain hospitalized as a result of the shooting, including a 39-year-old woman, a 30-year-old woman, and an 8-year-old boy who is in critical condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head.
The perpetrator, identified as a 42-year-old man from Shelby Township, took his own life following a confrontation outside his residence.
A total of nine individuals, including two children, were injured in the shooting incident, with the motive behind the attack still unknown as per the sheriff’s office.
