Horeen : “Girl Found Outside Bahawalpur Zoo”

After three harrowing days of being missing, a two-year-old girl who was kidnapped on the day of Eidul Azha has been found abandoned outside Bahawalpur Zoo. The young girl, identified as Horeen, was taken from Al-Noor Garden in Lodhran by unidentified abductors who swiftly fled the scene.

The Kotwali police in Bahawalpur took custody of the child and shared her image in various groups in an attempt to locate her family. Thanks to the efforts of the authorities and the cooperation of the public, Horeen was identified and reunited with her relatives.

The incident occurred in a private residential colony in Lodhran, where armed men forcibly entered a home and abducted the two-year-old in the early hours of Eid. The family, shocked and terrified by the brazen act, immediately sought help from the authorities.

Police Investigation and Efforts

Upon receiving the report, Lodhran District Police Officer Kamran Mumtaz, along with the child’s relatives, journeyed to Bahawalpur to bring the little girl back home. The police also registered a case at the City Police Station Lodhran based on a complaint from the child’s uncle.

Despite the swift action taken by the police, concerns have been raised regarding the delayed sharing of information and the security measures in place in the posh colony. The abduction has sparked fears among residents and highlighted the need for enhanced security protocols.

Public Outcry and Demand for Justice

This incident marks the second major kidnapping for ransom in Lodhran in recent years, prompting public outcry and demands for justice. The community is calling on Chief Minister Punjab and IG Punjab Police to ensure the swift recovery of the abducted girl and the apprehension of the perpetrators.

District Police Officer Kamran Mumtaz has reassured the public that the investigation is utilizing modern technology and human intelligence to track down the culprits. He has pledged that the suspects will be caught and brought to justice for their heinous crime.

Ransom Demand and Police Response

The abductors had demanded a ransom of Rs60 million for the release of Horeen, according to reports from the district police. However, through diligent efforts and the use of technology, the police were able to track down the suspects using the phone number from which the ransom call was made.

Multiple teams and CCTV cameras were deployed in the pursuit of the suspects, leading to their imminent arrest. The authorities are confident that the perpetrators will be apprehended soon, bringing closure to this distressing ordeal.
