After more than three weeks since the tragic incident, the Salt Lake City Police Department has announced the arrest of a 19-year-old suspect believed to be involved in a fatal shooting that took the life of a 30-year-old man.

Abdihakim Mohamed has been taken into custody and charged with one count of aggravated murder in connection with the death of Nico Christopher Patino, the victim of the shooting that occurred on May 26 in the Glendale neighborhood of Salt Lake City.

According to reports from FOX 13 News, the authorities were alerted to the shooting at around 4 a.m. in the vicinity of 1800 West Fortune Road. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Patino suffering from gunshot wounds, and sadly, he succumbed to his injuries at the location.

Details regarding any potential accomplices or additional suspects involved in the crime have not been disclosed at this time.
