Brittney Nicely : Morristown Woman Faces Murder Charge | WJHL

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WATE) — The Morristown Police Department (MPD) has taken action against a woman following a shooting incident that resulted in the tragic death of a 56-year-old man.

Brittney Nicely, a 35-year-old resident of Morristown, has been formally charged with second-degree murder in connection with the incident. She is currently in custody at the Hamblen County Jail, as confirmed by MPD on Wednesday.

Upon receiving a distress call, MPD officers swiftly responded to the High Street Apartments just before 4 p.m. on Monday, June 17. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of Richard Wilburn, aged 56, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
