Amber Spradlin : “Remembering Amber Spradlin: One Year Anniversary Tribute”

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (FOX 56) — June 18, 2024, is a somber day for a Floyd County family as they remember the tragic loss of Amber Spradlin, who was brutally murdered a year ago. The memory of Amber’s untimely death still haunts her loved ones as they seek justice for her.

Last June, Kentucky State Police made a grim discovery at a home on Arkansas Creek in Martin. The lifeless body of 39-year-old Amber Spradlin was found with multiple stab wounds, shocking the close-knit community near Prestonsburg.

“It’s been a tough year filled with disappointments and anger, but we are staying strong as a family. The outpouring of support from the community and friends, both locally and across the country, has been a source of comfort for us,” said Dr. Debbie Hall, Amber’s cousin.

Dr. Hall revealed that their attorney recently filed a civil suit in connection with Amber’s death, seeking justice and closure for the family. The lawsuit aims to bring the perpetrators to account for their heinous actions.

Reflecting on Amber’s character, Dr. Hall described her as a friendly and naive individual who simply wanted to belong. The brutal nature of her death has left the family grappling with the unimaginable terror she must have endured during the attack.

Although no suspects have been officially named, Dr. Hall remains hopeful that the responsible parties will soon face charges and be brought to justice for their actions.

In a bid to keep Amber’s memory alive and seek justice, the family has erected two “Justice for Amber” billboards in Floyd County. Additionally, they have created a dedicated Facebook page with 25,000 followers, rallying support for their cause.

The quest for justice continues as the family remains steadfast in their pursuit of closure and accountability for the tragic loss of Amber Spradlin. The community stands in solidarity with them as they seek answers and resolution in this heartbreaking case.
