Man Charged with Murder After Missing Woman’s Body Found in Backyard
A man is facing a murder charge after a missing woman’s body was discovered in the backyard of a home in Azle, according to the local police department.
Arrest Made in Connection with the Killing
Shane Breshers, 52, has also been charged with evidence tampering and was taken into custody on Friday, as per records from the Tarrant County jail. The charges are related to the death of 43-year-old Heather Treibly, who was reported missing on June 1, the Azle police confirmed.
Breshers, the accused, is currently being held in jail with a bail set at $650,000. An attorney listed in online court records for Breshers has not yet responded to requests for comment.
Investigation and Discovery of the Body
According to reports, Treibly had not been seen or heard from since May 27, prompting the authorities to launch an investigation. On June 12, officers responded to a suspicious incident in the 100 block of Ty Lane, near Southeast Parkway.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found a body concealed in the backyard of the residence. The body was tentatively identified as Treibly based on her tattoos. Subsequently, the police initiated a homicide investigation, identifying Breshers as the prime suspect. Evidence gathered during the investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Breshers.
