Following a gynaecological examination at a local hospital which confirmed the rape, the boys were apprehended on Monday. In a disturbing turn of events, the girl’s ex-boyfriend revealed to the police that his anger stemmed from her supposed concealment of her Jewish identity, leading him to seek revenge. Investigators discovered anti-Semitic content, including images of a burnt Israeli flag, on the boy’s mobile phone. Additionally, one of his accomplices admitted to assaulting the girl because of her alleged remarks about Palestine.
The local prosecutor’s office has brought multiple charges against the boys, including aggravated rape, aggravated sexual assault, attempted extortion, invasion of privacy, threats of violence, and verbal abuse. The latter two charges are aggravated due to the boys acknowledging that the attack was motivated by the victim’s religious background.
