A Charlotte resident tragically lost his life in a drowning incident at Jordan Lake in Chatham County late on Saturday night. The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call at approximately 11:45 p.m., prompting swift action from first responders.
Victim identified
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Pradip Kumar Bhujel. According to reports from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, Bhujel was fishing with friends at the lake before he waded into the water and disappeared from view.
Search and Recovery Efforts
Following the distress call, emergency responders immediately began a search for Bhujel in the area where he was last seen. After a thorough search, his lifeless body was discovered and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
