Accident – Death – Obituary News : An adolescent girl tragically lost her life in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, after allegedly leaping from the 14th floor of a residential building on Tuesday. The distressing incident, captured on CCTV cameras within the society, has left the community in shock.
Authorities conducting a preliminary investigation, along with reviewing the CCTV footage, have determined that the young girl, identified as Anjali and the daughter of Amol Ayamiyar, took her own life by jumping from the 14th floor of Apollo DB city in the Nipania area, falling under the jurisdiction of the Lasudia police station in Indore. Anjali, a 7th-grade student at Advance Academy School, was known to her peers and teachers as a bright and cheerful individual. The police have since registered the case as an unnatural death.
According to TI Taresh Soni, Anjali’s father accompanied her to the school gate that fateful morning before she left for school. Instead of boarding the school bus, she reportedly made her way to a neighbouring apartment complex. There, she entered the building, ascended to the 14th floor using the lift, and tragically jumped from the terrace, thus ending her young life.
CCTV footage captured Anjali’s return to the main gate of the township following her father’s departure. Subsequently, she was seen entering a different building, riding the lift to the top floor, and ultimately taking the irreversible step of jumping off the building.
Anjali’s family, including her father who works as a manager at CCI Container Corporation and her elder brother currently studying in the 11th grade at DPS School, originally hailed from Pune before relocating to Vishakhapatnam and eventually settling in Indore in March 2024. The family, still reeling from the profound loss, is not in a position to provide statements or engage in conversations at this time.
