Accident – Death – Obituary News :

On June 17, the Jamestown Police Department apprehended four juveniles for their involvement in the theft of multiple vehicles, as reported by Maj. Justin Blinsky, assistant chief of police.

According to Blinsky, two teenage boys are facing charges related to burglary, possession of stolen property, theft of motor vehicles, possession of stolen firearms, unlawful entry into motor vehicles, and possession of alcoholic beverages. A teenage female has also been implicated in the possession of stolen motor vehicles and alcohol offenses. Furthermore, another teenage boy was questioned and subsequently released to his parent.

The incident unfolded on the evening of June 17 when the police received a report of a stolen 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup from the 900 block of 2nd Avenue Northeast. The vehicle had been taken overnight with the key left inside.

A Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office deputy from the Drug Task Force later spotted two suspicious vehicles, one of which was identified as the stolen pickup, in southwest Jamestown around 8 a.m. The stolen pickup was stopped in the 200 block of 17th Avenue Southwest with two male juveniles inside. The Jamestown police assisted in apprehending the suspects.

The second suspicious vehicle, a 2019 Chrysler 300 that was also reported stolen, fled from the deputy but was located near the 1100 block of 18th Street Southwest a few minutes later. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted, resulting in the arrest of a female and a male juvenile.

Further investigation revealed that the juveniles had collaborated to commit a burglary at a rural farmstead in Eldridge, North Dakota. Three of the juveniles had worked together, with one of them having knowledge of the farmstead owner.

It was discovered that the juveniles had targeted vehicles across Jamestown from Sunday evening to Monday morning. Stolen items were found in both stolen vehicles, and it is believed that vehicles in the northeast and northwest areas of Jamestown were targeted.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be brought against the juveniles. Anyone who had items stolen from their vehicles during this period is urged to contact the Jamestown Police Department on 252-1000.
