Accident – Death – Obituary News : A tragic incident unfolded in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County, last week as a 21-year-old man lost his life in a fatal motorcycle collision. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the devastating news on Monday, revealing that the young man, identified as Jose Luis Diaz Cruz from Oxnard, was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash on June 14.
The fatal accident took place just after 11 p.m. at the intersection of Westlake Boulevard and Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks. According to reports from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Cruz collided with a car at the intersection, resulting in him being thrown from his motorcycle.
Responding deputies swiftly initiated life-saving measures at the scene before paramedics and firefighters arrived to provide more advanced medical care. Cruz was rushed to Los Robles Hospital by ambulance, but tragically succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
The other motorist involved in the collision sustained minor injuries and was subsequently discharged from the hospital following treatment. Authorities have not yet determined whether alcohol or drugs were contributing factors in the deadly crash.
