TIONESTA TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A resident of Tionesta, Forest County, has been accused of neglecting two horses, leading to charges being filed against her.

State Police in Marienville received a complaint regarding possible animal neglect at a property in the 300 block of Shady Lane, Tionesta Township, on Friday, June 7. Following up on the initial report, authorities revisited the location on Friday, June 14, to find that the two horses on the property had no shelter despite adverse weather conditions.

The individual facing charges in connection with this case is Donna Marie Moore, a 61-year-old resident of Tionesta. Moore was charged with the offence of Neglect of Animal, which is classified as a summary offence, in District Judge Daniel Miller’s office on Saturday, June 15.

As per court records, Moore is currently awaiting a plea in response to the charges brought against her.
