A tragic incident occurred on Sunday morning in Tuaran, Sabah, when a man lost his life in a head-on collision with a four-wheel-drive vehicle. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Mohammad Fazley Sagih, sustained serious injuries in the accident which took place at the Batangan Bridge along the CKS Road.
Efforts to Rescue the Victim
Upon receiving a distress call at 6.44am, the Tuaran Fire and Rescue Services Department swiftly dispatched a team of 10 men to the scene, located only two kilometres away from the station. Within four minutes, the team reached the site of the accident where they found the victim trapped inside his vehicle.
Under the leadership of Mohamad Nor Amit, the rescue team immediately commenced their operations to extricate the victim from the wreckage. Despite their best efforts, Mohammad Fazley Sagih tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel at the scene.
Driver of Four-Wheel-Drive Vehicle Escapes Unhurt
Fortunately, the 48-year-old driver of the four-wheel-drive vehicle involved in the collision emerged from the incident unscathed. The authorities have taken the necessary steps to handle the situation, with the victim’s body being handed over to the police for further investigation.
