Accident – Death – Obituary News : Mumbai Cyber Police have pressed charges against a 25-year-old man from Rajasthan for creating threatening videos targeting Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The accused, identified as Banwarilal Laturlal Gujar from Boarda village in Bundi district, allegedly posted a video on YouTube discussing the notorious Bishnoi Gang and suggesting plans to harm Salman Khan.

The Mumbai Crime Branch swiftly acted on the threat and arrested Gujar from his village. A case was registered at the South Cyber Police Station under sections 506(2), 504, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and section 66(d) of the Information Technology (IT) Act. The authorities took the matter seriously due to the gravity of the threat posed by the accused.

In a related development, the Mumbai Police recently recorded statements from Salman Khan and his brother Arbaaz Khan regarding an incident of firing outside their family residence in April. A team from the crime branch visited Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where Salman resides, to inquire about the incident. Salman’s statement lasted for nearly four hours, while Arbaaz’s statement was recorded for over two hours. The police posed around 150 questions to the Khan brothers during the interrogation.

Salman Khan expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Mumbai Police in swiftly apprehending the culprits involved in the firing incident. He acknowledged the seriousness of the threat to his life and cooperated fully with the investigation. The actor recounted the harrowing experience of being awakened by the sound of a bullet hitting his flat’s balcony on the night of the incident.

The police suspect the involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in the firing incident, as they have a history of issuing threats to Salman Khan. Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, alleged shooters linked to the case, were arrested in Gujarat following the incident. A total of six individuals were apprehended in connection with the incident, with one of them, Anuj Thapan, tragically taking his own life in police custody.

In a separate case, the Navi Mumbai Police arrested five individuals, including a suspected member of the Bishnoi and Goldier Brar gangs from Haryana, for plotting an attack on Salman Khan. The police revealed that four gang members had conducted reconnaissance on Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel, his residential area in Bandra, and locations where he filmed movies. Lawrence Bishnoi, the alleged mastermind behind the threats, is currently incarcerated in the Sabarmati Central Prison in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
