Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a recent development, the Khanna police have successfully apprehended two suspects involved in a brazen attack on a jewellery shop located on railway road in Doraha. The incident, which took place three days ago, saw the miscreants firing at the shop, causing panic and chaos in the area. The arrested individuals have been identified as 34-year-old Pardeep Singh from village Begowal in Payal and 36-year-old Suraj Prakash from Preet Vihar, Vaddi Haibowal in Ludhiana.
Authorities have revealed that a swift and coordinated effort led to the arrest of the culprits, with the police recovering four pistols, seven magazines, and 36 live cartridges from their possession. The SP Investigation Khanna, Saurav Jindal, shared that the police received a report of the firing incident at Paramjit Jewellers on the evening of June 12. Subsequently, a case was registered under various sections including attempt to murder and arms act at Doraha police station.
The investigation into the matter was intensive, with special teams from Doraha police station and CIA staff working tirelessly to trace the perpetrators. The Khanna Police, in collaboration with the Counter Intelligence team from Bathinda, pursued all possible leads to bring the case to a resolution.
Following a breakthrough in the case, Pardeep and Suraj Prakash were taken into custody, and the recovery of firearms further strengthened the case against them. It was revealed during the interrogation that both individuals have a history of criminal activities, including robbery, theft, and even murder. Suraj Prakash is wanted in connection with a previous FIR dated February 27 for murder, attempt to murder, and arms act violations at PAU police station in Ludhiana. Similarly, Pardeep Singh is a suspect in a case related to attempt to murder and other IPC and Arms act violations at Doraha police station.
Investigations further uncovered a financial dispute between Pardeep Singh and Paramjit Verma, the father of the victim, which allegedly led to the violent incident.
