Vishwa : Tragic Car-Truck Collision Kills 2 Students on Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway: Cops

Tragic Accident on Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway

Two students tragically lost their lives while the driver of their SUV sustained serious injuries after their vehicle collided with a truck on the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway, as confirmed by the police on Saturday.

The deceased students have been identified as Vishwa (22) and Surya (18), both residents of Bommasandra in Bengaluru.

Vishwa was pursuing a diploma course, while Surya was a second-year Pre-University student in Bengaluru, according to authorities.

The fatal incident occurred when the two students were on their way back from Mysuru in the SUV driven by Suhas. The collision with a truck, which was reportedly in the wrong lane, took place on the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway near Kempainadoddi village in Ramanagara on Friday night.

Tragically, both Surya and Vishwa were rushed to the nearest hospital where they were pronounced dead upon arrival. The driver of the car, Suhas, sustained severe injuries but is now reported to be in stable condition, as confirmed by a senior traffic police official.

A case has been registered under sections 297 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and 304 a (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code. The truck driver responsible for the accident has been apprehended by authorities.
