Accident – Death – Obituary News : The sequence of events leading up to the apprehension of the suspect commenced on the morning of Monday, June 10, just before 8 a.m. A concerned individual reported an intrusion at their residence on South Barry Avenue in Mamaroneck, where a bicycle was purloined by an unidentified male. The vigilant victim promptly provided law enforcement officials with a detailed description of the perpetrator, aiding in the swift apprehension of the suspect. The individual in question was later identified as Yaser Garcia-Ramirez, a resident of Bronx, who was found in possession of the stolen bicycle and subsequently taken into custody by the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department.
Following his arrest, Garcia-Ramirez was found to be in possession of a driver’s license, multiple checks, and a debit card, all of which were reported stolen. Furthermore, an investigation revealed that he was also in possession of a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Newark, New Jersey earlier that morning. The stolen vehicle was located in close proximity to the scene of the burglary in Mamaroneck, implicating Garcia-Ramirez in multiple criminal activities.
The suspect was charged with a range of offenses, including second-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Subsequently, Garcia-Ramirez was arraigned in the Village of Mamaroneck Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
