In a tragic incident that occurred in Peddahottur village in Alur mandal, a man lost his life and a woman sustained severe injuries when the autorickshaw they were travelling in overturned on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Golla Lakshmanna, who tragically passed away instantly as a result of the accident. The autorickshaw was on its way to Alur from Peddahottur when the unfortunate incident took place.
The 40-year-old woman, named Somalingamma, was critically injured in the accident and was promptly rushed to the government hospital by concerned locals. Her current condition is reported to be critical. The Alur police have initiated an investigation into the incident and have registered a case in this regard.
