Bengaluru, 14th June: A disturbing incident of murder has surfaced in Karnataka, where a mother is accused of killing her three-year-old autistic daughter in Bengaluru. The victim, identified as Prithika, was allegedly strangled to death by her mother, Ramya, at their residence in Subramanyapura, Banashankari, south Bengaluru.

The tragic incident took place on Thursday afternoon, as reported by the Times of India. Initial investigations revealed that Ramya used a dupatta to strangle her daughter, Prithika. Following the heinous act, Ramya contacted her brother-in-law and informed him about the situation. Subsequently, her brother-in-law advised her to rush Prithika to a nearby hospital, but the doctors declared the child dead upon arrival.

Details of the Tragic Incident

Upon being alerted by the hospital staff, the police arrived at the medical facility and arrested Ramya. During questioning, Ramya confessed to the crime, stating that she killed Prithika due to her autism. It was revealed that Ramya was deeply disturbed by her daughter’s condition, especially since Prithika was not admitted to school because of her autism.

Background of the Accused

Ramya, who originally hails from Tamil Nadu, has been living in Bengaluru for the past decade. She is married to Venkatesh, a software engineer based in Norway. After giving birth to twin daughters, Ramya quit her job to care for her children. Following the tragic incident, Ramya’s parents took custody of her other daughter, and authorities are considering providing Ramya with psychological treatment after her medical evaluation.
