Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A lawsuit has been filed against a Dothan hotel, accusing them of wrongful termination of their night auditor, “D.A.,” after he attended a work-related meeting with pink nails, braided hair, and capri pants.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) brought the lawsuit against the Home2Suites by Hilton, claiming that “D.A.” was fired in 2022 for his appearance at the meeting, which took place outside of his normal working hours.

According to the lawsuit filed in federal court, “D.A.” had previously identified as a man while working at the hotel.

The EEOC conducted an investigation and found reasonable grounds to believe that discrimination had occurred, as outlined in the lawsuit.

The case is being presided over by U.S. District Judge Chad Bryan, and a trial date has yet to be set.

The hotel has been given several weeks to respond to the allegations made in the lawsuit.
