In a disturbing incident in Nashville, a 43-year-old man, identified as Sadriddin Azizov, has been charged with sexual battery after allegedly groping a woman during a food delivery. The incident took place on March 27, 2024, and Azizov was arrested on June 12.
The victim, who had ordered food from a restaurant, was contacted by the establishment as the delivery driver was unable to access her apartment. She went across the street to meet the driver, later identified as Azizov, to collect her order.
Azizov handed over half of the order and requested to take a picture with the victim. However, the situation took a sinister turn when he attempted to take a photo of himself with the victim, prompting her to decline. Subsequently, when she asked for the rest of her order and her hands were full, Azizov allegedly groped her right breast before driving away.
It was determined by Metro police that Azizov was employed by the Nashville restaurant as a delivery driver and was not affiliated with the food delivery service used by the victim to place her order.
Following the incident, the victim positively identified Azizov from a photo lineup. As a result, Azizov was taken into custody and charged with felony sexual battery. His bond has been set at $5,000.
