Accident – Death – Obituary News : Montgomery County Police have recently provided an update on a tragic incident that took place in Calverton on the 12th of June. According to the latest news release, the Montgomery County Department of Police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle.
The unfortunate incident occurred at around 1:23 a.m. on Wednesday, the 12th of June, 2024. Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue were alerted to a single-vehicle collision involving a green 2002 Honda CBR600 motorcycle at the intersection of Columbia Pike and Fairland Road. Tragically, the driver of the motorcycle, identified as 43-year-old Yuan Long Yuin from Beltsville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Yuin’s Honda was travelling southbound on Columbia Pike when, for reasons yet to be determined, he lost control of the vehicle. This loss of control led to the motorcycle colliding with a guardrail, resulting in Yuin being ejected from the motorcycle. The investigation into the incident is currently active and ongoing.
