Police in Nashville, Tennessee have arrested a 43-year-old man on charges of sexual battery after he allegedly groped a woman following a food delivery. Sadriddin Azizov was taken into custody on Wednesday, June 12 in connection with the incident that took place on March 27, 2024.
The victim had ordered food from a local restaurant and was contacted by the establishment around 2:15 p.m., informing her that the delivery driver was unable to access her apartment. She then went across the street from her residence to meet the driver, later identified as Azizov.
Upon arrival, Azizov handed over half of the order and requested to take a picture with the victim. Initially agreeing, the victim changed her mind when Azizov attempted to include himself in the photograph. Subsequently, she asked for the remainder of her order, and as she was retrieving it, Azizov allegedly grabbed her right breast before driving away, according to Metro police.
Investigations revealed that Azizov was employed as a driver by the Nashville restaurant and was not affiliated with the food delivery service used by the victim to place her order.
The victim positively identified Azizov as the individual who assaulted her during a photo lineup. Following his arrest, Azizov was booked into the Metro jail and charged with felony sexual battery, with his bond set at $5,000.
