Pulkit Shahdadpuri : “Teen’s PUBG Game Ends in Tragedy: Nagpur Accident”

Nagpur: A birthday celebration took a tragic turn for a 16-year-old boy in Nagpur, as he fell into an open pump chamber at the Ambazari dam earlier this week, resulting in his untimely demise.

According to reports, the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday when the boy left his house around 3 am to visit a friend. The friend recounted that after a 20-minute walk, the pair decided to grab a bite at a nearby food stall for some Poha.

However, upon reaching the food stall, they found it closed and instead headed to Ambazari Lake, where they engaged in a game of PubG. After completing the game, they planned to return to the food stall for breakfast.

While the friend walked ahead, the 16-year-old boy, identified as Pulkit Shahdadpuri, continued playing PubG on his mobile phone without paying attention to his surroundings. Tragically, he failed to notice the open pump chamber and accidentally fell into it.

Upon realising what had happened, the friend alerted a nearby guard, who promptly contacted the authorities. Firefighters were called in to retrieve the boy’s body, which was later handed over to the police following a post-mortem examination.

Pulkit had recently cleared his Class 10 exams and was gearing up to begin Class 11. This unfortunate incident has shed light on the lack of adequate safety measures at Ambazari Lake, prompting concerns about the need for improved security protocols.
