According to a report from a local NBC station in El Paso, the Mexican State of Sonora General Prosecutor’s Office revealed that the man, known only as 43-year-old Jorge N., and Lizeth N. were in the jacuzzi at the resort around 10 p.m. The prosecutor’s office suspects that a potential wiring failure led to Jorge being electrocuted, while Lizeth sustained life-threatening injuries.
Following the incident, Lizeth was rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals diagnosed her with burns consistent with electric shock. She was later transferred back to the United States for further treatment and was listed in critical condition.
