CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (WAVE) – A devastating incident unfolded on Interstate 65 late Tuesday night, claiming the life of a young man from New Albany. Indiana State Police were summoned to the scene just north of the Eastern Boulevard overpass around 11 p.m. to investigate a fatal motorcycle crash.
The victim, identified as 25-year-old Mason Tyler Brown, was riding a 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle when the accident occurred. Brown was ejected from his bike and subsequently transported to University of Louisville Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Initial investigations by ISP Sellersburg Post revealed that Brown was allegedly speeding and attempting to overtake multiple vehicles after crossing the Lincoln Bridge. Tragically, his reckless manoeuvre led to a fatal collision with a silver 2016 Yukon SUV travelling at the legal speed limit.
The impact propelled Brown off his motorcycle, causing it to veer off the right side of the road and collide with a parked semi-tractor and trailer. Fortunately, no occupants of the Yukon sustained injuries, and the driver promptly pulled over to the side of the interstate.

The circumstances surrounding the fatal crash are still under investigation by authorities. Indiana State Police are working diligently to piece together the sequence of events leading up to the tragic loss of Mason Tyler Brown.
