PATTAYA, Thailand – A distressing incident unfolded at a 7-11 store in the Jomtien Complex as a 19-year-old employee, Kritsana Charunrak, was viciously stabbed while on duty behind the counter. The attacker, later identified as 16-year-old Jiranawat, fled the scene leaving the victim injured and in shock.

Recounting the terrifying ordeal, Kritsana Charunrak described how the assailant leapt over the counter and plunged a sharp object into his left shoulder before swiftly escaping. The motive behind the attack remained unclear until the perpetrator was apprehended by law enforcement.

During police interrogation, Jiranawat confessed to the stabbing, attributing his actions to jealousy. He believed that the victim was engaging in secret communication with his girlfriend, leading to a surge of anger and prompting him to commit the violent act.

Authorities, led by Pol. Capt. Chonlawit Athiphansi, Deputy Inspector of Pattaya City Police, swiftly took the suspect into custody for further questioning. Legal charges corresponding to the severity of the crime will be brought against the perpetrator.
