LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Authorities in Las Vegas have apprehended a suspect believed to be involved in a fatal shooting incident that took place in the east valley on Monday morning.
The incident was reported to LVMPD Dispatch at around 5:28 a.m. on the 2000 block of Peyton Drive. Upon arrival at the scene, patrol officers discovered a male victim with gunshot wounds inside a residence.
Emergency medical personnel were summoned to the location and unfortunately pronounced the victim deceased. Following leads, officers located a vehicle linked to the crime and detained a male individual identified as 25-year-old Isaiah Branch.
Subsequent investigations by the Homicide Unit revealed that the victim and Branch had engaged in a dispute, resulting in Branch allegedly using a firearm to fatally shoot the victim before fleeing the scene.
Branch was taken into custody and has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of open murder involving a deadly weapon. The identity of the deceased, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be disclosed by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
