Local authorities in Shreveport have made an arrest in connection with the tragic shooting incident that claimed the life of a 37-year-old man, Breyone Grimes, at a gas station parking lot on Hollywood Avenue on the evening of June 10.

Following an intensive investigation, detectives from the Shreveport Police Department were able to trace the suspect, 40-year-old Ledonald Sanders, to an address in Haughton.

Responding swiftly, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office SWAT team executed an arrest warrant for Sanders, culminating in his apprehension.

Chief Wayne Smith expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of law enforcement teams, highlighting the seizure of 26 firearms during the course of the investigation as a stark reminder of the seriousness of the case.

Chief Smith praised the dedicated work of the detectives, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the SPD crime scene unit for their exceptional contributions to resolving the case.
