The Mysterious Death of Giselle Salazar Under Investigation
The tragic death of Giselle Salazar, a 30-year-old mother of four, found hanging at a Texas marina is now being investigated as a potential homicide by authorities. The League City Police Department revealed on Tuesday that the positioning of Salazar’s body raised suspicions about the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to a report by local news station KPRC, Salazar was discovered hanging by a rope off a League City dock on May 31. Detectives noted that one of her arms was found in an upright position without any support, indicating that her body may have been staged after death.
Investigators believe that Salazar may have died elsewhere before being placed at the dock, with her arm stiffening due to rigor mortis in the new position. The exact cause of her death is still pending confirmation from the medical examiner’s office.
Two individuals have been identified as persons of interest in the ongoing investigation, but no arrests have been made so far. Salazar’s family, including her sister Esperanza Alegria, is demanding justice for her untimely death.
Alegria stated in an interview with ABC station KTRK that her sister did not take her own life and called for the responsible party to be held accountable for their actions.
Salazar had been residing on her boyfriend’s boat at the Wharf Marina since March, as reported by her boyfriend in an interview with KTRK. He denied any involvement in her death and claimed that he last saw her leaving the boat to use the restroom before her disappearance.
Police are currently reviewing extensive security footage from the area as part of their investigation into the case. Salazar’s brother, Nathan Paz, described her as a vibrant and charismatic individual who was trying to make positive changes in her life.
The family has set up a fundraising campaign to cover the costs of Salazar’s funeral and to support her four children in this difficult time.
