A devastating single-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon in Brevard County, Florida, has left a 22-year-old South Florida woman dead and two others injured, including an infant, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Interstate 95 at mile marker 202 in Cocoa, as reported by WKMG, a local Orlando news partner. Troopers revealed that a Toyota Camry, driven by a 23-year-old man from North Lauderdale, was travelling north on I-95 when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the roadway.
The Camry then collided with a utility pole before overturning several times, resulting in tragic consequences. The front passenger, identified only as an adult woman, was rushed to the hospital following the crash but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Meanwhile, two rear passengers, including a baby, sustained serious injuries and were also taken to the hospital for treatment. Thankfully, the baby’s condition has since stabilised.
The driver and the right rear passenger emerged from the wreckage unscathed. All occupants of the vehicle hailed from North Lauderdale, as indicated in the crash report.
