FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT)- The Lauderdale County Drug Task Force (DTF) conducted a targeted operation on Tuesday, executing search warrants at two residences in Florence. The operation resulted in the apprehension of a 51-year-old individual.

Drug Dealing Activities

The search warrants were obtained by law enforcement officers in response to suspected drug dealing activities allegedly carried out by the suspect, identified as Napoleon Ragland, a resident of Florence.

During the search, DTF agents uncovered a significant quantity of marijuana and approximately 240 fentanyl pills, each pill weighing around 24 grams. Additionally, various pieces of equipment used in drug distribution were seized during the operation.

Charges and Arrest

Following the discovery of the illicit substances and paraphernalia, Ragland was taken into custody and charged with trafficking fentanyl, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest of Ragland marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat drug-related crimes in the region.
