Accident – Death – Obituary News :
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office announced that Deandre Antuan Cochran, a 33-year-old man from Adams Run, has been apprehended in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred in 2023. Cochran is facing charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
According to Charleston County Spokesperson Lexi Douglas, Cochran was taken into custody on Feb. 2 in Jacksonville, Florida for trespassing. After his charges were resolved in Florida, Cochran was served with a warrant for murder in connection with the 2023 shooting incident.
Douglas stated that Cochran signed his extradition waiver on Wednesday and was subsequently transported back to Charleston County to face the charges against him.
The fatal shooting took place on Aug. 8, 2023, in the 7400 block of Highway 162. The victim, identified as 64-year-old Herman Prioleau, tragically lost his life in the incident.
Cochran is currently being held at the Charleston County Detention Center as the legal proceedings continue.
