He was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and refusal. The incident unfolded when police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Pitt Street and Thirteenth Street. Upon investigation, it was discovered that Freeman was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Furthermore, he reportedly refused to cooperate with a specific aspect of the investigation by declining to provide a specific sample. As a result, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released with a court date set for June 27, 2024.

On the same day, another individual, 22-year-old Henock Dika from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC, was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a release order. The charges stemmed from an incident on June 21, 2023, where Dika allegedly failed to check in with the Cornwall Police Service (CPS) as required by his release order. Consequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Dika voluntarily presented himself at the police headquarters on June 7, 2024, to address the situation. Subsequently, the warrant was executed, and he was held for a bail hearing.

**Youth Faces Charges of Assault and Non-Compliance**

A 14-year-old youth from Cornwall found themselves in legal trouble on June 7, 2024. The youth was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking and one count of assault. The charges were a result of an incident on June 3, 2024, where the youth allegedly violated an undertaking by communicating with an individual and going within 100 meters of their residence, which were prohibited. A 23-year-old individual named Tommy Johnson from Cornwall got into trouble on June 9, 2024. Johnson was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance, resisting a peace officer, assaulting a peace officer, and attempting to disarm a peace officer. The charges stemmed from a disturbance call at an establishment on Sydney Street where Johnson allegedly caused a disturbance, resisted arrest, spat on police, and tried to disarm an officer. He was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

**Individual Arrested for Multiple Offenses**

On the same day, 35-year-old Jamie Marsolais from Cornwall was arrested and charged with obstructing a peace officer, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to attend court. The charges were a result of a disturbance call where Marsolais allegedly gave police a false name, was found in possession of an edged weapon, and had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on September 23, 2022. Marsolais was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

On June 9, 2024, 59-year-old Donald Labelle from Bonville, ON, was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000. Labelle was accused of stealing merchandise from a business on Ninth Street West on May 16, 2024. In a separate incident on the same day, a 14-year-old youth from Cornwall faced charges of failing to comply with a probation order, possession of break-in instruments, breaking and entering a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence, administering a noxious thing, and assault with a weapon. The charges were a result of an incident on February 16, 2024, where the youth violated a probation order by possessing weapons, breaking into a residence, administering a noxious substance, and assaulting an individual.

**Further Arrests for Impaired Driving and Drug Offences**

On June 10, 2024, 20-year-old Manan Manan from Cornwall was arrested and charged with impaired operation and over 80 following a traffic stop on Pitt Street. Additionally, 34-year-old individual from Cornwall faced charges of failing to comply with probation orders, theft under $5,000, distributing intimate images without consent, and mischief for damaging property. On the same day, 47-year-old Larry Labelle from Cornwall was arrested and charged with failing to comply with probation orders and possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking following a traffic stop.
