The Greenville Police Department in South Carolina has reported that a man has been charged in connection with a sexual assault case.
According to the police department, the incident occurred on June 8 in the Worley Road area between the hours of 1 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. The victim sustained great bodily injury and is currently receiving critical medical treatment.
The victim, who had no prior acquaintance with the suspect, stated that they had only met on the night of the assault.
The suspect has been identified as Robert Voorhees and is facing charges of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, and kidnapping.
