Authorities in Henderson have arrested a 63-year-old man, identified as Eric Bennett, on multiple charges, including attempted murder, following an incident where he allegedly shot into an occupied car.
The arrest took place on June 9, and Bennett was subsequently taken to the Henderson Detention Center for further questioning.
The incident occurred on June 8 around 6:20 p.m. in the vicinity of Sandwedge Drive and Birdie Lane, near Wigwam Parkway and Valle Verde Drive. Henderson police were called to the scene after receiving reports of a domestic altercation involving a discharged firearm.
Upon investigation, authorities discovered that an argument between Bennett, his husband, and two other relatives escalated to the point where Bennett fired shots into an occupied vehicle.
Bennett now faces several charges in connection with the incident, including:
- 1 count of Attempted Murder with a Deadly Weapon
- 1 count of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Structure
- 1 count of Domestic Battery in the First Degree
