The Metro Nashville Police Department continues its crackdown on illegal street racing, with the recent arrest of a 20-year-old suspect identified as Cesar Sandoval. This arrest marks the 45th alleged street racer apprehended by MNPD since March 2023.
Sandoval is accused of engaging in dangerous street racer stunts and intersection takeovers, particularly during a May 2023 incident at the Nolensville Pike-Elysian Fields Road intersection. Following his arrest by Murfreesboro police, Sandoval was promptly transferred to Nashville for further legal proceedings.
According to police reports, Sandoval allegedly drove recklessly in the intersection while being chased by a pedestrian/spectator. The incident also attracted other onlookers who gathered in a designated “pit” area to witness the illicit activities.
In addition to his involvement in the intersection takeover, Sandoval is also alleged to have maintained a social media presence where he shared content related to street racing activities, including videos and images of intersection takeovers.
