HARRISON TWP. — The individual accused of holding a pharmacist at gunpoint during a robbery at a Kroger store in Harrison Twp. has been formally indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury.

The suspect, identified as Jeremiah Addison, 22, of Dayton, faces multiple charges stemming from the incident that took place on May 30. The charges include:

Aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon
Two counts of kidnapping
Robbery
Aggravated possession of drugs
Two counts of theft of drugs
Theft of drugs by intimidation
Obstructing official business

According to reports from News Center 7, Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call regarding an aggravated robbery at the Kroger store on W. Siebenthaler Avenue just before 9 a.m. on the day of the incident.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered that a pharmacist had been threatened at gunpoint and compelled to hand over two bottles of liquid Hydrocodone to the suspect. The suspect then fled the scene through the store’s front entrance.

The pharmacist was reportedly struck in the face with the firearm during the course of the robbery, as detailed in a previous report by News Center 7.

A few hours later, law enforcement received reports of an individual brandishing a firearm and walking along Markey and Addison Avenues.

Upon locating the individual, identified as Addison, deputies noted that his physical appearance matched the description of the robbery suspect provided by witnesses.

Addison was subsequently taken into custody and subjected to questioning by investigators. During the interrogation, clothing believed to have been worn by Addison during the robbery was found at his residence, located within close proximity to the arrest location.

Although Addison denied any involvement in the robbery, he admitted ownership of the clothing recovered by authorities.

Official records indicate that Addison remains detained at the Montgomery County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
