Accident – Death – Obituary News :

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man, Curtis Page Junior, is now facing additional felony charges for attempted murder after allegedly beating another man with a baseball bat in February. This comes after Page was already in jail for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of Corey Reed in March.

The new felony charges against Curtis Page Junior include:

  • Attempted murder, level 1 felony
  • Aggravated battery use when the assault poses a substantial risk of death, level 3 felony

In February, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call reporting a man with a possible broken jaw and head injury at E. 28 Street and N. Dearborn Street. The victim was found in a dazed condition and was unable to provide details about the incident. He was taken to Methodist Hospital for medical treatment and evaluation.

Witnesses at the scene reported seeing Page armed with a baseball bat chasing the victim on N. Dearborn Street. The victim fell to the ground, and Page allegedly struck him multiple times on the head and body with the bat before fleeing the area on foot.

Police recovered the baseball bat, headphones wrapped in children’s clothing, and tobacco products near the spot where the victim was found. The victim sustained multiple fractures to the jaw and skull, along with a potential brain bleed.

Investigations linked Page to the crime through cell phone data and a reverse cell phone number lookup tool, tracing his movements at the time of the incident. The victim identified Page as the attacker, mentioning that Page was intoxicated from smoking formaldehyde and marijuana.

Page’s surety bond has been set at $150,000, and he is scheduled for a jury trial on the murder charge in March. No trial date has been set for the attempted murder charge yet.
