A tragic incident occurred at Disneyland in California, resulting in the death of a long-time employee. Bonnye Mavis Lear, a 60-year-old resident of Fullerton, California, lost her life after falling out of a moving golf cart while on duty at the theme park. The incident took place on June 5, and Lear succumbed to her injuries on June 7.

According to reports from the Anaheim Police Department, Lear fell from the golf cart and suffered a head injury. First responders arrived at Disneyland Resort just before 11:30 a.m. local time to attend to the situation. Lear was found in critical condition and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Despite efforts to save her, Lear tragically passed away two days later. The Anaheim Police Traffic Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident that led to Lear’s untimely death.

Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock expressed his condolences to Lear’s family and colleagues, stating, “We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her. At this time, we are focused on supporting her family and our cast members through this tragic event and making sure they have the resources they need.”

Lear was a dedicated employee of Disneyland, having worked at the park for 24 years. She was a member of Club 33, a prestigious private dining club located in the New Orleans Square area of the park.
