Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a 4-year-old girl named Lily Moster passed away in her parents’ arms at the hospital, a day after being critically injured in a car crash involving an alleged drunk driver in Queen Creek, Arizona.

Lily, described as a ray of sunshine by those who knew her, left a void in the hearts of her family and friends. Her grandfather, Dan Smith, fondly remembered her as a “sweet little spitfire” and expressed the family’s struggle to come to terms with the sudden loss.

The tragic incident occurred as Lily, along with her 6-year-old brother Luke, was returning home from swim lessons with their father, Daniel Moster. While stopped at a sign, their minivan was rear-ended by a driver in a black Jeep Wrangler, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

Despite the efforts of bystanders who assisted in rescuing the children, Lily was left unconscious and in critical condition. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries the following night, surrounded by her grieving parents.

Smith shared that Lily and her brother shared a close bond, with Lily idolizing her older sibling. He reflected on their special connection and how Lily’s absence has deeply impacted the family.

Community Support and Legal Action

In the wake of Lily’s passing, the Moster family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from strangers and loved ones alike. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover medical expenses and funeral arrangements, providing a source of comfort during this difficult time.

Meanwhile, investigations into the crash have led to the arrest of 33-year-old Jason Sanchez, the driver of the Jeep Wrangler. Authorities revealed that Sanchez had a blood alcohol level of 0.111, well above the legal limit, and failed to brake before the collision.

Sanchez, who allegedly admitted to consuming alcohol before the crash, faces charges of aggravated assault and driving under the influence. With Lily’s tragic passing, he now also faces a second-degree murder charge and has been remanded to Pinal County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

As the Moster family navigates their grief and seeks justice for Lily, they hold onto precious memories of their beloved daughter and sister, who will forever remain in their hearts.
