The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. when Phoenix police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of 12th and Garfield Streets, just south of Roosevelt Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim who had been shot. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities were able to identify another man as the suspected shooter. The individual was subsequently located and apprehended by law enforcement.
