Alex Pena : “Duluth DUI Driver Crashes Near Ditch, Flees Cops”

A man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading police on a foot chase following a car crash in Duluth.

The incident took place on June 2, just before midnight, when Duluth officers spotted a black Honda off the roadway near a ditch at River Green Parkway.

According to a witness, the man, later identified as Alex Pena, was seen getting out of the car before officers began searching for him. Upon noticing the police presence, Pena reportedly fled into The Foundry apartment complex.

Charges and Arrest

After a pursuit, officers managed to apprehend Pena and instructed him to sit down. Pena allegedly questioned the reason for his arrest, asking, “Why and what did I do?”

During a search of Pena’s vehicle, authorities claim to have discovered three empty beer containers on the floorboard, as well as a generic brand of Viagra pills.

Pena was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI-alcohol less safe, reckless driving, willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer, open container violation, and improper lane change/failure to maintain lane. He was then taken into custody at the Gwinnett County Jail.
