ORLANDO, Fla. – Two individuals have been apprehended following an incident involving robbery and a shooting in Ivanhoe Village, according to authorities.
Early on Sunday morning, at approximately 5:41 a.m., a man was accosted by two suspects as he exited his residence on Ivanhoe Blvd. The perpetrators brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s vehicle and personal belongings. In an attempt to evade the assailants, the man sought refuge back inside his home but was tragically shot by one of the offenders.
The two suspects have been identified as Kenny Mason, aged 24, and James Houston, aged 25. Both individuals are currently in police custody and are facing a litany of charges, including burglary, robbery, aggravated battery, and attempted murder.
The victim is reported to be in stable condition and receiving treatment at a local medical facility.
Law enforcement officials suspect that the perpetrators were in the vicinity engaging in multiple vehicle break-ins, during which they procured the weapon utilized in the robbery that took place on Sunday.
