A Hartford resident has been taken into custody following a hit-and-run incident involving a 15-year-old boy on an electric scooter in Manchester on Friday.
According to reports, the 26-year-old woman was involved in a collision with the teenage boy while he was on his way to school on his electric scooter.
After the incident, the woman allegedly fled the scene before law enforcement officials arrived.
The young boy sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
Subsequently, the woman was identified as the driver responsible for the hit-and-run and was promptly arrested by authorities.
She is currently facing charges that include evading responsibility, risking injury to a minor, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
She has been remanded in custody on a bail bond of £100,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on July 8 for further legal proceedings.
