In a heartbreaking incident at Disneyland in Anaheim, a beloved employee tragically lost her life after falling from a moving golf cart. The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Bonnye Mavis Lear, a resident of Fullerton. The Orange County coroner’s spokesperson, Sgt. Frank Gonzalez, confirmed her identity.
The fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, June 5, at around 11:30 a.m. in the vicinity of West Ball Road and South West Street within Disneyland’s exclusive Club 33. Authorities were alerted to the scene following a report of a crash involving Lear.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials found that Lear had fallen from the moving golf cart and sustained a head injury. She was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Sadly, despite medical efforts, Lear succumbed to her injuries on Friday, marking a devastating loss for the Disneyland community. The Anaheim Police Department confirmed her passing.
