A shocking incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district, where a minor girl reportedly attempted suicide by jumping in front of a train after being allegedly raped by her school principal. The district hospital admitted her in serious condition following the tragic event.
The accused school principal, identified as Devendra Kumar Mishra, is said to have sexually assaulted the minor student at her own home. A disturbing video of the incident, which surfaced on social media on June 6, 2024, shows the principal engaging in inappropriate behaviour towards the student.
It is believed that the girl took the drastic step of attempting suicide after an obscene video of the school principal in a compromising position went viral on social media.
The police took swift action and arrested the individual responsible for circulating the video online. However, the culprit tried to evade arrest and sustained injuries while attempting to flee, prompting his hospitalisation.
Following the circulation of the video, the family members of the rape survivor lodged a complaint at the Kokhraj Police Station. The authorities wasted no time and registered a case against the accused principal, launching a search operation to apprehend him.
In the wake of the suicide attempt, ADG Bhanu Bhaskar and IG Prem Kumar Gautam visited the district hospital to meet the minor victim and her relatives, offering their support during this difficult time.
The accused principal remains at large as the police continue their efforts to track him down. ADG Bhanu Bhaskar has assured the media that the perpetrator will soon be brought to justice.
